“The sunlight we feel today is about 30.000 years old, created at the height of the last ice age, that now gives us life, vision, energy... “

I am Mina Panjković, a visual artist with an endless fascination for light.

Using film and photography as a medium, I am dedicated to creating art that not only entertains but also challenges, provokes, and ultimately inspires the audience.

All we know about the world comes through our senses. They are like bridges between reality and the brain. Each individual's perception is unique when encountering just a tiny part of the universe.

Photography

When I first encountered the camera obscura as a young girl, I was immediately captivated by the sheer magic of light. This experience ignited a deep curiosity within me, and it wasn't long before I delved into the world of photography. Through this medium, I discovered a language that allowed me to express my emotions truthfully. Photography has been my teacher, imparting invaluable lessons about patience, life, nature, and human behavior. However, above all else, it has been a transformative journey of self-discovery. It has served as a mirror, reflecting my growth and shaping my perspective on the world.

Video Editing

As a filmmaker, I immerse myself in the art of weaving together visuals, sound, and emotions to create captivating narratives that inspire.

During my studies, I delved into the world of documentary filmmaking, where I discovered the incredible influence that editing holds over the way we perceive stories. It was a revelation that reshaped my entire perspective on the craft.

With each frame I meticulously select, each cut I make, and each rhythm I establish, I understand that video editing is a dance of creativity and technicality, where the editor has the power to shape the viewer's experience and elicit a profound response.

Filmmaking

Our senses are keen to illusions; nevertheless, they are a significant part of our everyday lives. Over time we learned how to utilize them to our edge. An example of that is film, with the persistence of vision at its core. Alongside the illusion of cut, it forms a unity of motion and emotion. Carrying every art form as a way of expression, film developed the ability to expand different perceptions while challenging new perspectives and collective consciousness.

When I realized how much visual medium means to me I enrolled in Warsaw Film School to study cinematography and post-production. There I developed an interest in documentary filmmaking and, for over a year, explored the world of blind. The research resulted in my first short documentary, "Behind the Eyes." After, I descended into narrative forms and scriptwriting, which gave me a new perspective on filmmaking. Writing the story about a woman who reclaims her body autonomy with the help of nature resulted in my graduation movie "Ruminate."
